- Read your sale price and savings; in Compare mode the cheaper deal is highlighted automatically.
Percent Off Calculator FAQs
How is the sale price calculated?
Multiply the original price by what you still pay after the discount: sale price = original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). For example, 25% off an $80 item is 80 × 0.75 = $60, so you save $20.
How do I find the discount percentage from two prices?
Subtract the sale price from the original price, divide by the original price, and multiply by 100. An item dropping from $100 to $75 is a (25 ÷ 100) × 100 = 25% discount. The "Find discount %" tab does this for you.
Can I compare two sale offers?
Yes — open the "Compare two deals" tab and enter each offer's price and discount. The tool shows both sale prices and highlights which deal costs less and by how much.
Should I enter the price with or without tax?
Enter the price before tax, the way it appears on the shelf or product page. The calculator applies the discount only; add sales tax or delivery fees to the final sale price separately.
Does it work in my currency?
Yes. The calculator uses plain numbers with no currency symbol, so it works with dollars, euros, rupees, riyals or anything else — just keep the original price, sale price and result in the same currency.
